Colin Crossman's 6 August op-ed arguing that machine-readable code ends security through obscurity: Coinkite's move from a free-software licence to source-available terms changed the economics of finding the bug, not its readability. States the theft had reached 4,585 addresses and nearly $90 million and was ongoing at the time of writing; the figures are the author's, not reproduced here.
