A two-line joke defining "Coldcard Derangement Syndrome" as the belief that a product is more secure simply because it is ugly and cumbersome to use. It makes no factual claim and offers no evidence. It is held because the austerity-as-security argument it mocks recurs across the record, at length in the Bitcoin Well essay captured the same day, and this is the compressed form in which the counter-argument spread.
