Ledger CTO on open source and security

Ledger's company account promotes an argument by its chief technology officer that open source is valuable but is not in itself a security property, quoting the line that if your security model is that the crowd will save you then you do not have a security model, you have a hope. Held as a named competing vendor's published position on the review question the incident raised, and treated on the statements page beside Ledger's separate not-affected claim. Ledger is a competing hardware-wallet vendor and the post is a branded card for its own security posture, so the commercial interest is on the face of it.
