In both cases a Pseudo Random Number Generator was used for seedphrases, which is the same issue Coldcard has just suffered.

A hot wallet being insecure shouldn't affect people's entire stacks of Bitcoin like this issue has.

This might be the first time it happened to a cold wallet, no? With a hot wallet, people don't expect them to be as secure and trust them to the level of cold ones and with as much money (I hope at least), so a HW wallet fucking this up is so much worse.
