The Reddit thread gained comments about unanswered questions and trust in signing hardware.
It's like saying 2FA makes my password harder to guess. The passphrase doesn't strengthen the randomness of the seed; it adds another secret that must also be known to access that wallet.
I'm being precise because a lot of people are adding passphrases these days without fully understanding what they protect against, and a meaningful number of them may eventually lose them or not favor the tradeoffs.

Also, I believe this particular release is under maximum scrutiny, since it's the fix for an $89M incident with the whole Bitcoin security community watching. My wallet was probably safe (I rolled dices mentally). But to be cautious, I updated the firmware, recreated a new wallet with 24 words + 250+ dice rolls (with physical dices), plus a BIP39 passphrase.
